Since we met...

It is crazy it has been 4 years since we met. I have been friends with his sisters, Shalan and Angelina, for a while and they asked me to go with them and a bunch of other people to a haunted house down in Salt Lake. We were all to meet at a church parking lot and then car pooling down there. When I got there I knew every one there except for two people that just happen to be sitting in Angie's back seat. I asked Angie who they were and she said they were her brothers Sheldon and Cameron. Let me give you a mental picture of what they looked like. Cameron is the tall, thin with dark brown hair. Sheldon was a little bit shorter than Cam blonde hair and a long goatee that was about three inches. I thought at first that they were her older brothers.

We went to the Nightmare on 13th. I don't know why I even go to those because I get nervous. I know that they can't touch you and things are fake but I guess I hate it when thing jump out at you and catch you off guard. Any ways, I ended up hanging on to Cameron most of the time and Sheldon too. Angie held onto Sheldon too. After the haunted house we went to Ihop in Centerville. It was then I got to know Sheldon a little bit more. We talked and Sheldon ended up making every one laugh, like he still does.

Sheldon was just getting over a relationship and wasn't looking for a girlfriend. I just wanted a friend that I could really talk to and help me through things, I hand lost my dad in May that year and my step dad a month before we met. We didn't talk or see each other for about a month. Angie gave me his number and said I should call him and invite him to do some things with us. We started doing things with his sisters and going to activities with friends.

Cameron, his brother, became friends and I wanted to set Cameron up with my little sister Jackie. Jackie wanted me to hang out with them but I didn't want to be a third wheel. Jackie had the idea of asking Sheldon to come to. Jackie asked him and he ended up going to a ReAl soccer game with his dad. He called us when they were on their way home to met us to hang out for a while. After that night Sheldon and I were pretty much inseparable. We became good friends which let to boyfriend and girlfriend when they came back from Hawaii, which he called everyday they were there. The joke was I was pretty much on the trip with them because in every picture he is on his phone with me.

We dated for just over 2 years and got engaged on February 21st. First of all Sheldon doesn't really plan things ahead of time. When we were dating he was more by the seat of his pants kind. I was at work when he called and said not to plan anything for that night and we were going to go on a date. I asked what we were going to do and he responded as going to dinner and ice skating. Along time ago Sheldon promised me that he would take me ice skating as our first date, you know a hockey player. I always loved ice skating, I think it is because my dad would always take us when it was his weekend. When he told me that I knew something was up. The night came and he took me to El Matador, which is one of my favorite resturants, then to the ice rink up by the Weber State. As we got up in the Jeep he said,"This is for Valentines because I didn't give you anything really." He gave me a little blue box. My heart was racing and I opened it and there was a beautiful locket heart on a chain. He thought I knew what was happening when I was cleaning the appartment because he left the recept for the ring laying around. I didn't see it and I didn't think of it until he was telling me what we were going to be doing on our date. He then asked if I wanted to go to Temple Square and see if the lights were still on the reflection pond. I agreed and by the time we got to the pond, which didn't have the lights, I had to go to the bathroom. I started to walk back the the Jeep and Sheldon tried to get me to stay. I hugged him and he asked if I truly loved him. Of course I did and that is when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I admit I cried. The rest is the beginning of a wonderful story that you have already heard and seen.

Halloween

Halloween is this month and decorations are up. Cobwebs to pumpkins in the front room to the bathroom. This is one of my favorite holidays. I loved to dress up as a child and yet I still do. I do miss the trick or treater's. We don't get them at all now because of the trunk or treat. Seriously the crazy people that would put harm in candy and such messed it up for the people that truly loved to hand them out. Every year I try and make a decoration for each holiday. For Halloween I am going to make pumpkins out of wood. This is a picture of the decoration I made a couple of years ago.

The decision has been made. Abbie will be a giraffe unless she gets too big by the time Halloween gets here then she is going to be a ballerina. Sheldon and I haven't decided what we are going to be yet. We are going to a Halloween party and need to dress up.

Crawling

Abbie has been crawling all day today and yesterday. The funny thing is she is faster going backwards that forwards. She is everywhere now. She was before but now she is even faster. I can't keep her out of places.

At first she would be up on both of her toes and try and crawl that way. Now she is on her knees but her right leg some times goes straight and pushes off of her foot.

Jill's Quirks

I tag....
.._.. Kristi, Amy, Alyssa, Rashell .._..

1- Organization, organization! It is bad I am an organized freak! At work I have a set place for every single thin down to certain papers. Now that I am only part time it has tested me on how much I will let other people sit at my desk and share with them with the way they like things. Now that I have kind of relaxed at work because of the situation my house pays the price of it. When I clean my house it is always going through things and alphabetic and in groups. For example all our movies are animated are in one group and alphabetized and the other movies that Abbie can't watch yet is in another group. Sheldon is completely opposite. He likes things clean but doesn't like to do it unless needed. He is perfectly fine if things don't have a specific place to be.

2- Stopping in the middle of something is not an option for me. If I am doing a puzzle like suduko or jig saw puzzle I will stay up as long as it takes to finish it. Sheldon has to keep telling me to stop when I am scrapbooking, drawing, and things like that cause I can't stop. I feel that if I stop and go back to it the next day or later in the day I will forget what I was wanting to do or something.

3- I*N*D*E*N*P*E*N*D*E*N*T I have to do things by myself. I have a hard time to ask for help, even when I was pregnant. I just recently rearranged our living room and I didn't want anyone to come over and help me move the big things. I didn't tell anyone because Sheldon always gets mad and says "I shouldn't do that I should leave it for him". Every once in a while it does get me into trouble. If I move a lot of big things the same day I end up being really sore the next few days.

4- I can't be late for a very important date. I can't stand to be late. I have to be at least five minutes early and sometimes I find my self being even earlier to things. It is so weird cause I don't know where I got it from. My mom is always on time and my dad is always late to things. My in-laws have their own time in things. I love them all but I am just weird in that department.

5- I am very competitive. I admit I can be mean or I don't talk when I lose. Sheldon and I share that trait. Sheldon is good at anything he touches and if I want to do something I always have to practice and learn how to do it. Let me tell ya that just adds to my frustration and motivation to beat him in everything!

6- It doesn't matter wheather it is warm or cold I have to sleep with covers and have plenty of pillows. I don't know what it is but I just can't get a good night sleep without them. I get really hot during the summer but oh well I guess. Sheldon thinks I am nuts. He has his central air just a blasting and a fan in our room going and some how he is still hot. Go figure.

Happy Birthday to my lil sis, Jackie!

Happy Birthday Orkut Comments

I am so happy for my little sister Jackie, for her big 21st birthday tomorrow! Let me just tell ya that we are like any other set of sisters. We have our fights like siblings do and I have tormented her while we were growing up. The difference is how much I look up to my lil sis. Jackie is quiet the book worm. She is so smart and yet she brings the true meaning of "blonde" sometimes. She has gone through so much in life and I can't believe how she does it and with a smile too.

We have gone through losing a father and step dad all with in a 5 month span and Jackie was still in high school and yet she finished with her head held high. To be honest I would have just dropped a lot of things, which I did, and had a hard time to graduate. Jackie was able to get one of the best scholarships and man did she deserve it!

The biggest part is, she has had many surgeries on almost every part of her body it seems. We would tease her that she was just falling apart. I know it had to frustrate her so much but she could laugh with us. After the first or second surgery, I lost count, on one of her hips we found out she would have to go to Colorado to have a different surgeon see her because no one here could help her as well as this surgeon could. When she had another surgery from this doctor we found out she has a disorder with how her body heals itself. Which means if something happens to her and say she hurts her arm then her body can't fully heal without the help of surgery to help things along. I don't know what the disorder is called but I have never heard of this before. With all of this going on she is attending Weber State taking classes either online or at the University. The hardest thing is now she can't do the things that many people take for granted. She won't be able to play soccer, football, hockey, ice skate, etc with friends because she might do something to herself and to us it would just seem like something little.

I have never seen any with such happiness with life even when it seems it doesn't deal the best hand to ya. She is one of my heroes that I know I couldn't live without. She has made me think of life in a totally different picture. She has made such an impact on my life and I know she has in others. I hope she has the best birthday!

Abbie and Sheldon

Sheldon says he is so happy to have Abbie here. He always tells me it is hard to picture life with out her. It is so cute when they play together and I know, especially when she gets older, they are best buds!

Utah State Fair

Abbie was extremely good the whole time we were there. She watched the pigs as we walked by until one that was right next to her snorted really loud, catching her off guard, and scaring her. She was crying so we had to hurry through the rest of the pigs. Next were the sheep. Abbie was just watching them and we came up to sheep that was getting it's wool trimmed and she couldn't keep her eyes off it. When we got to the goats she didn't mind the noise and even tried to pet one but it walked away.

I swear every year you get so excited to go and then when you do end up going it isn't has big as you remember it to be. We went this year with our cousin Daniel Anderson and his wife Alicia. I thought we would be there longer that we were. We were able to see all the animals, walk through and see most all the booths and walk around the whole fair in about 1 1/2 hours. Over all it was fun though. Especially for Abbie getting to see the animals.
