Moab Trip 2009

This was of fun trip to Moab, Ut.

I have decided to write here instead of the pages on the scrapblog because you sometimes can't quiet read it.

First page:
This is a picture of Abbie as Sheldon's Mom, Angie, and I were walking down main street looking at the shops. The boys and Shalan went on Chicken Corners that day. I am not able to ride the four wheelers on the trails, I would be hurting later.

Second page:
Shalan, Sheldon's mom, Abbie and I went to Arches on Sunday while everyone else went on poison spider trail. There is a picture of balanced rock and the south window. Can you guess which one is what?

Third page:
The picture on the far right is delicate arch. We didn't hike clear up there, it would have been too hard not to mention is was blowing horribly. Abbie loved to wear her sunglasses if everyone was wearing theirs. The last picture on the left was Hole N' The Rock. It was an awesome place. I will tell ya more about that when we get to that page.

Fourth page:
They had a lot of cool stuff at the Hole N' The rock. There were statues of animals and some were even made out of metal bolts and things. If you look close at the out-house you can see legs. Out in front of this house was arrows and how many miles to different places like germany, Kansas, New York, Miami, and more. This place even had a petting farm but we were too late for that, oh well.

Fifth page:
This is the best picture I have that shows you the house. I think the coolest thing is that this man hand mad this house, he did use dynamite though. Albert (the man who made the house) loved FDR and the sculpture above in the rock is FDR. He has many pictures and such of him in the home as well. They lived here without electricity and still ran a dinner until Albert passed away and then Gladys (his wife) finished by putting in electricity, running water, and carpet. Where they had the diner she put a gift shop instead. She made jewelry out of rocks and glass from the coke and beer bottle from the road. They were both buried there along with all the other animals they had.
Sixth page:
This is the last page. I have just put pictures of all the other cool stuff that was at Hole N' The Rock. Enjoy!
