The end credits

Most people either leave the movie theater or turn the movie off when it comes to the end credits. Abbie, I guess, didn't get that memo. We were watching the Chipmunk adventure movie and it came to the end credits. Sheldon and I just couldn't stop laughing. I kept rewinding it and as soon as she heard a couple of the songs play she just went at it. We have to admit our little girl has some rhythm. Here is a picture and a couple of video clips.

Bumble Bee Sting

Abbie got her first bee sting, on her left cheek. When I went to pick her up from Grandpa/Grandma's house her grandpa told me she was sleeping on the floor in the other room. He wasn't sure if the bee was in the house and thinks it might have hit the fan and then hit Abbie. He showed me the bumble bee and man, I don't know how I would reacted. It was a big fury one, this isn't the actual bee but it was similar to it. Between Grandpa and Aunt Angie they watched over to make sure she was ok. No one knew if she was allergic or what not because she has never had anything like this before. None the less we wanted to make sure because her uncle is allergic to stings. She is doing great but she just has a little pinkish blotch on her cheek though. Thanks to Grandpa and Angie for taking such good care of her!

Memorial Day weekend

I forgot to charge the camera so there aren't any pictures, sorry. We went up to Mantua to have a fun long weekend get together with the family, and for everyone to ride the 4-wheeler and the motor cycles. We went up Friday night when Sheldon got off work and we decided to take the Jeep so we could help haul one of the trailors home. Little did I know that Sheldon had another purpose for taking the Jeep. He wanted me and Abbie to be about to ride on the trails and see some of the fun things up there. Sheldon is so thoughtful and sweet! It was a good thing too because with Angie's surgery she would be about to go either. Abbie had a blast playing in the snow up there and going for rides. Saturday night we came home so we could go to Eric's homecoming (a special sacrament meeting when a missionary comes home) becuase it was early in the morning. Sheldon ended up getting sick in the morning, so Abbie and I went. We waited until Sheldon felt better then headed right back up. We were able to squeeze in one more ride before we came back home on Monday, and man did the Jeep get MUDDY! We had so much fun and I can't wait until we can go camping again!

Little brother's update

I went to the doctor and everything is going along just great. He is still a he, that is good news, and is growing right on schedule. He moves so much but seems so small at the same time. We get to have a 3D ultrasound in a couple of weeks so that should be cool, even though they tend to look like little aliens. Then next month I have to do the glucose test, and man I am glad I don't have to drink that nasty stuff. All I have to do is drink 8oz of regular soda or orange juice along with a candy bar. That will be a breeze compared to the other.

Get Well Soon Angie!

Our wonderful sister/sister-in-law/aunt Angelina had to have surgery on her thyroid today. She had acouple of growths on it so they removed them and while they where in there they found out they had to take out more of her thyroid than they were planning due to where one of the growths were at. We got the news that they don't suspect any cancer but are going to send it off to have a pathologist read it for sure. This was great news but she is going to be staying the night at the hospital because of the really bad pain. They are still going to follow up with this and see how she does.

Angie (Wina) we hope you feel better soon and we love you tons!

Abbie made a get well card for Angie

What a little helper!

We have been busy going through things in the house, cleaning, and packing. We are going to move so we can save more money for a house. I have this little helper that follows me everywhere I go and helps me get things done. This morning I was doing some laundry and Abbie just loves to help. She either hands me cloths to fold while we are sitting on my bed or she hands me them out of the dryer. Also when it was time to brush our teeth, which is one of her favorite things to do in the mornings, she sat up on the counter brushing her teeth and handed me the toothpaste. She is such a crack up and can always make me laugh, she got that from Sheldon. To the store we went to pick up somethings and she helped pick them out. If I grabbed them before her she got so mad. I am so lucky to have such a helper and a great little kid. It must have tired her out.

Garry M Dillard
1956-2004
I can't believe it has been 5 years ago since my wonderful dad passed away. He was such a wonderful friend, shoulder to cry on, listener, but most of all a father! I can't tell you how many times I wished he would still be here and to see my family and children. It was the hardest when he wasn't there for my wedding to walk me down the isle, thanks T for doing that it helped me out tons. My heart just hurts inside when I see the girls that have their fathers at such wonderful things in their lives and just to have them near. I don't know if things would be the same if he were here but I know that Sheldon has helped me with all the emotional heart aches and crashes that I have had. I think that is part of the reason why Sheldon and I have gotten along so well. He is just like my dad in many ways, which makes things hard yet nice in some things. I noticed the other day when he was with our little girl Abbie he was saying somethings that my dad used to say to me and I couldn't help but get a little teary eyed.

I love you so much dad! I can't wait to be able to feel your arms around me giving me your wonderful bear hugs once again. I remember our long talks on the phone and our nights we had just watching tv and eating chips and the special dip. One thing that will never leave my mind was your plastic container that was like a bird.

Home and back to normal

Abbie is back home and I will tell ya it felt like it took forever to get to this point. Things are back to normal, well for the most part. I am no longer contagious and thus the reason why I have Abbie home so I could be with her. Although I still have to take it easy so I don't over do it and get sick again. Last night, Sheldon called me saying Abbie had a fever and to see what we should do. He felt so worried that she might be getting what I had. We ended up giving her some medicine for it and she how she would do. She slept fine as far as we know, coughed a little bit, but another phone call came to let us know she had another fever at 4am. We gave her some more motrin and it went down about an hour after. Sheldon's mother and I took her to the doctors and found out she doesn't have what I had, phew! Poor little Abbie has an ear infection. This is her first ear infection ever. So, right now we are taking care of that. We do appreciate all the help with her and helping me feel better! Thanks!

A hard thing and yet a good thing.

Let me just start off with tell everyone how wonderful my hubby is to me and especially our family. As you all know we have a very active little youngster Abbie and one on the way. I have been feeling really tired and drained so when I told Sheldon I was going to need more help than I usually do he was more than willing to step in and help out. I guess I was really preparing myself and him for what was going to hit our home.

Last night I had a really rough time with being sick, not your morning sickness either. I couldn't get warm, coughing so hard, a sore throat from you know where, and pains! After a while I don't know if my throat just got irritated enough or what but I then started to have a hard time breathing. Guess who was there by my side through the whole night helping me and also not getting any sleep really, Sheldon. He helped try and relax to get comfortable as much as I could, breath with the humidifier and a hot shower, and help me finally get warm. We went to the doctors so see what was the matter with me. The doctor diagnosed me with influenza, don't worry it isn't the swine flu it is type B.

The hardest thing was knowing that I wouldn't be able to see/hold my wiggle worm and to be able to snuggle with her. I will miss her huges and kisses that she gives every day and her I love you mommy. Sheldon wants to make sure, as well as I do, that she not get this due to it being harder on her with her age and such. Sheldon made plans that she would have a long slumber party over at his parents house. I told him that he could stay there too so he doesn't get this either because he is already at risk with having diabetes and all. He just wouldn't stay up there knowing I would be alone here.

The good thing about all of this is Abbie is in great hands and so am I. Plus, I was told that everything will be fine so I can just rest and get over this stuff!
