A day to surf

Ok I am late with these pictures but I guess better late than never right. Well, for our cousin's wedding anniversery gift from his wife she set up for all his close friends/relatives to have a day were they went downtown in ogden to the Flow Rider. Here are the best pictures of each one of them. They had so much fun and we (the girls) have decided that we make sure they get to do something each month to stay close and so we girls can hang out too.

Pioneer Day

Jackie invited Abbie and I to go with her to the Pioneer Museum right behind the Ogden Temple. We didn't stay long but we had a great time. The ride home was quite interesting on how people reacte to others driving. Jackie was probably laughing at me the whole way to her house. We weren't in any hurry of any kind but I just kept commenting on some of the really dumb drivers! For example, we were on wall coming up to 21st street heading north bound. You can't turn left down 21st due to it being a one way street. Well, there were two cars in the turning lane because they wanted to go straight into the other turning lane. One of them hurried and got back in and the other really did turn down because there was another car heading south bound on wall in the turning lane to go up 21st street so they wouldn't be able to go straight. I just kept saying duh people. The thing that really got me was when we were sitting in the turning lane to turn left onto 20th this car decided to just get right in front of us as we were moving forward. The car behind me got so mad but what could I do. I didn't want to hit them. We had lunch at my mom's with Jackie and played for a while. Abbie loves to put on shoes and try and walk around with them, too funny! By the way the reason Abbie doesn't have a shirt on is because she had a doughnut and got chocolate all over her. I didn't have an extra shirt on hand. When we got home she ran right to her rocking horse with Daddy's hat. She is getting practice in for the rodeo next year, just kidding.

Mommy to the rescue!

Even when you get married you still need your mother! I find myself calling my mom for advice on things and help. So here is the story behind the picture. I admit, I am scared of spiders but I am able to kill them myself. I found this spider in the bathroom in the corner and if you look close at it you can easily tell what kind of spider it is (Brown Recluse). Call me weird but I wanted to make sure what I was dealing with specially with having Abbie around I get nervous because she isn't afraid of anything yet. Well I didn't want to try and kill it unless I could get it dead on and make sure it was a goner. I couldn't get a good hit seeing how it was in a little corner, so I called my mom to see if they had a spray or something. My mom came right over with a spray and even helped me get the bugger. I would have asked Sheldon but poor thing was not feeling well so I sent him right up to bed. I am so thankful for my mom and always being there when ever I need something. I can only hope I can return the favors she has always done for me. I love you mom!!

What a day!

Now a days I am just ready to be done and wish the day would just hurry up and get here. Abbie, Jackie (my little sis), and I went to my doctor's appointment for Nixon. He is doing really good and growing right on schedule. I am not thinning out or dilating yet which is good. He said there isn't anything really we can do for all of the pelvic, hip, and back pain. The good part is he gave me some medicine I can take to help with the contractions.

One the way home Jackie told me that Spoon Me was giving out free smoothies. So we made one stop before going home. It was really good and plus we had some entertainment too. I was planning on sharing mine with Abbie but she wanted Jackie's. So she stuck her finger in and licked it. The next thing that came out of her mouth we couldn't help but laugh. "Mmm Gooo" which means good. I was eating mine when Jackie said, "Jill she is sticking her whole hand in." After I cleaned her off she was totally amazed by this chair. The chair was a clear plastic with red. Well, I was tapping my fingers on one side so Abbie pushed her face against the other. Jackie and I couldn't stop laughing it was so funny. Her nose was pushed up like a pig nose and her lips, ha ha ha. I told her that was enough but I guess she wasn't done. She grabbed my hand put it on one side and started to do the same thing again. Man, it was the funniest. Thanks Abbie and Jackie it was good therapy for me!

We dropped Jackie off at my mom's and Abbie just had to play with the dogs. When my mom got home we just had to show her all the things Abbie says. Jackie and I were getting her to say, "oh stop it, okey dokey, button, mel mo (Elmo)" and so much other crazy stuff. I can't believe how much Abbie has grown up already and she is just so much fun. I LOVE this age!!

Finally

With my other blog of creations I never have time to make anything for our home. After doing so many of these I finally made sure I made the next one for us. The letters aren't permanently on yet, I know they aren't straight so no worries. I am excited to hang it up in our new place when we move in. What do ya think?

Fishing

Sheldon, Abbie, Cameron, and I went to the Fish Farm. We had so much fun! I haven't been there for a long time, especially to go fishing. Abbie loved it and said fish the whole time. She didn't mind the fish until it started to flop around on the ground and then she started to freak out. Yes, she even touched one. I can't wait to take her real fishing. I know she was have a good time. I know the boys will.

How thoughtful!

I have such the sweetest husband! I have been trying to get things done around our house and the place we are going to be moving into. Sheldon is alway there making sure I don't over do it and helping me with everything. Well, tonight he sat me down on his knee and asked me to listen to a song. It is called "Then" by Brad Paisley which the song and lyrics are below. When I heard this I started to get teary eyed. Sheldon is the best! I love this song, check it out.

Venting!

I swear somethings just like to come my way just to see how I handle it. I have been trying to get things done both at our house and the place we are moving to and it just seems never ending. Sheldon's parents are so wonderful and letting us move into their basement apartment to save more money for a down payment on a house. I just hate packing everything and plus I can't do too much lifting anyways with being pregnant and all. It just feels like I am helpless with everything and always having to ask for help. I totally hate that because I am so independent.

Another thing on our list is getting ready for this wonderful baby boy. I am so excited for him to come and so I have been getting ready for things so I don't have to worry about them last minute. I work part time to help with benefits so we wouldn't have to worry about doctor visits or prescriptions. Well, while being part time I do get maternaty leave but if I don't have enough PTO then I have to pay for the benefits out of pocket. I was told by one of the people in the FMLA department that I would be able to stretch my PTO so it would just pay for my benefits and not get a pay check, which I would be happy with. Now that I am getting closer I called to see who I needed to talk to about paying for the rest of the benefits and they told me I had to use my PTO to be up to my budgeted hours. I wish people would be on the same page so it wouldn't frustrate people like me! That is all we need right now is to be stressed over something else. So now I have to wait for my manager and the head of the insurance dept to figure out what I need to do now and go from there. I guess one good thing from it is I don't have to pay for everything up front.

Thanks for letting me vent! I am just glad we have such a wonderful family, both my family and Sheldon's that helps us and supports us if/when we need it. Besides I don't think I would be able to do what I do or anything without the support of Sheldon.

On a happier note...
- We will be able to move in by the middle of August! We are so happy it is before I get too big and before the baby comes.
- Sheldon has picked a name for Little Brother. So from now on, unless he picks a different name, he will be known as Nixon Cameron Hunt.

Independence Day

We started our wonderful 4th at the Cherry Day's Parade with the family. Abbie had so much fun with all the fun floats, prizes/candy, and most of all being able to go into the street. For lunch we went up to Sheldon's parents for a BBQ and some fun in the water. After we went and looked at carpet. Dinner came so we drove over to my mom's house for another BBQ and some fireworks. Every year the grand kids go in the front to catch parachutes that my mom or Taylor lite off for them. This year was Abbie's first time getting to participate in it, Sheldon helped her. She loved it! The night fell upon us so Sheldon and I watched part of the fireworks at Weber High from home. Abbie fell asleep really early, I guess we wore her out. Here is a video of the family playing on the slip and slide.

The wonderful glucose test and doctor appt

I have to say when I had to do this when I was pregnant with Abbie I had to drink the most nastiest stuff on the planet! No one should ever have to drink it. I ended up having to do it again at the hospital because I was border line at the doctor's office. So when they told me at the new OB's office (long story on that) that all I had to do was eat a regular size candy bar and drink either 8oz of juice or 8oz of regular pop I was jumping for joy! Well, I went in not looking forward to the wonderful blood draw, I have horrible veins anyways, knowing if I fail this one I will have to drink that stuff I was getting nervous. I went back and they just poked my finger and YES!!! It came back at 104, and they wanted it under 140.

Little brother is doing just great. He is now 2 1/2 lbs already and growing nicely. Another good thing is what ever is going on with my heart it isn't effecting him at all. We won't worry about it unless his progress changes. I had my echocardiogram this morning so we will see what happens with that.

So far we are planning the C-section a week before the due date and on his surgery day, which is on a Tuesday. So if everything goes ok we will be having this little bundle of joy on September 15th. We are hoping we can at least make that. I am having the contraction pains (like I did with Abbie) but not too bad so we are trying to keep that date.

Nightly entertainment

***This is a short post but I just had to post this***
This is one of the funniest things. Abbie gets this burst of energy especially right before she goes to bed. She starts running around in circles or back and forth. Out of no where she starts laughing uncontrollably! The best thing is when Sheldon either lays on the bed or the floor (depends on where she is) she stops what ever she is doing just to crawl all over and through Sheldon and his legs. If he has one leg up she will try so hard to get through even if she gets stuck she keeps going back at forth. She is such a nut. One of this days I will get a picture of it or a video.
