Since we met...

It is crazy it has been 4 years since we met. I have been friends with his sisters, Shalan and Angelina, for a while and they asked me to go with them and a bunch of other people to a haunted house down in Salt Lake. We were all to meet at a church parking lot and then car pooling down there. When I got there I knew every one there except for two people that just happen to be sitting in Angie's back seat. I asked Angie who they were and she said they were her brothers Sheldon and Cameron. Let me give you a mental picture of what they looked like. Cameron is the tall, thin with dark brown hair. Sheldon was a little bit shorter than Cam blonde hair and a long goatee that was about three inches. I thought at first that they were her older brothers.

We went to the Nightmare on 13th. I don't know why I even go to those because I get nervous. I know that they can't touch you and things are fake but I guess I hate it when thing jump out at you and catch you off guard. Any ways, I ended up hanging on to Cameron most of the time and Sheldon too. Angie held onto Sheldon too. After the haunted house we went to Ihop in Centerville. It was then I got to know Sheldon a little bit more. We talked and Sheldon ended up making every one laugh, like he still does.

Sheldon was just getting over a relationship and wasn't looking for a girlfriend. I just wanted a friend that I could really talk to and help me through things, I hand lost my dad in May that year and my step dad a month before we met. We didn't talk or see each other for about a month. Angie gave me his number and said I should call him and invite him to do some things with us. We started doing things with his sisters and going to activities with friends.

Cameron, his brother, became friends and I wanted to set Cameron up with my little sister Jackie. Jackie wanted me to hang out with them but I didn't want to be a third wheel. Jackie had the idea of asking Sheldon to come to. Jackie asked him and he ended up going to a ReAl soccer game with his dad. He called us when they were on their way home to met us to hang out for a while. After that night Sheldon and I were pretty much inseparable. We became good friends which let to boyfriend and girlfriend when they came back from Hawaii, which he called everyday they were there. The joke was I was pretty much on the trip with them because in every picture he is on his phone with me.

We dated for just over 2 years and got engaged on February 21st. First of all Sheldon doesn't really plan things ahead of time. When we were dating he was more by the seat of his pants kind. I was at work when he called and said not to plan anything for that night and we were going to go on a date. I asked what we were going to do and he responded as going to dinner and ice skating. Along time ago Sheldon promised me that he would take me ice skating as our first date, you know a hockey player. I always loved ice skating, I think it is because my dad would always take us when it was his weekend. When he told me that I knew something was up. The night came and he took me to El Matador, which is one of my favorite resturants, then to the ice rink up by the Weber State. As we got up in the Jeep he said,"This is for Valentines because I didn't give you anything really." He gave me a little blue box. My heart was racing and I opened it and there was a beautiful locket heart on a chain. He thought I knew what was happening when I was cleaning the appartment because he left the recept for the ring laying around. I didn't see it and I didn't think of it until he was telling me what we were going to be doing on our date. He then asked if I wanted to go to Temple Square and see if the lights were still on the reflection pond. I agreed and by the time we got to the pond, which didn't have the lights, I had to go to the bathroom. I started to walk back the the Jeep and Sheldon tried to get me to stay. I hugged him and he asked if I truly loved him. Of course I did and that is when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I admit I cried. The rest is the beginning of a wonderful story that you have already heard and seen.
